Elephant Cave

Goa Gajah, or better known as Elephant Cave Bali, is an archaeological site located in Bedulu, Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia. Elephant Cave is thought to have been built in the 11th century by the Udayana Kingdom as a hermitage and holy place for Hindus. The name “Elephant Cave” comes from a relief at the entrance of the cave depicting an elephant. This relief is made of black volcanic rock and has a size of about 3 meters. Elephant Cave has caves decorated with statues of Hindu and Buddhist deities, as well as reliefs featuring various Hindu and Buddhist motifs.

Tirta Empul

Tirta Empul is a Hindu holy place located in Tampak Siring, Gianyar Regency, Bali.
