Itinerary :

Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary

Mandala Suci Wenara Wana, or well known as Ubud Monkey Forest, is the sanctuary and natural habitat of the Balinese long-tailed macaque. It houses approximately 340 monkeys with four groups of monkeys each occupying different territories in the park. In the Monkey Forest, you can walk around and enjoy the serene atmosphere and at least 115 different species of trees. You can also rent a bicycle or a motorbike. A lot of visitors prefer bikes for environmental reasons. However, since Ubud’s located on a mountainous area, the roads tend to be steep.

Tegalalang Rice Terrace

The stunning Tegalalang Rice Terrace, part of the Cultural Landscape of Bali Province UNESCO World Heritage Site, comprises cascading emerald-green fields worked by local rice farmers. The high roadside location is cool and breezy and it is a well-known spot for tourists to stop and take photos. The scenes of rice paddies involve the subak (traditional Balinese cooperative irrigation system), which according to history, was passed down by a revered holy man named Rsi Markandeya in the eighth century. Once you are at Tegalalang Rice Terrace, you can enjoy the view from on top but it’s also possible to hike down and walk up on the other side again.

Goa Gajah

Goa Gajah is locally known as the Elephant Cave because of its close proximity to the Elephant River. A mysterious cave, relics, and ancient bathing pools set amid green rice paddies and a garden lure tourists from nearby Ubud. Goa Gajah is thought to date back to the 11th century, although relics predating this time were found within proximity of the site. The menacing entrance to Goa Gajah looks like a demonic mouth, suggesting that people are entering an underworld as they venture inside through the darkness.

Ubud Bali Art Village

Ubud Bali art village is one of a region on the island of Bali and Ubud itself is actually a district located at Gianyar regency. Ubud art villages do have a good reputation and are popular tourist attractions, specifically in the fields of Arts and Cultures. In addition, Ubud is also famous for its comfortable atmosphere, peacefulness and tourism of spiritualism.
